Preparation is the mother of success when you eat Paleo. But let’s admit it, you’re not perfect. (I am, though.) But really, if you’re anything like me, a normal person, I’d dare to guess you’re not always prepared with Paleo meals and snacks at your disposal. Maybe you travel all the time. Maybe you have kids that need after school activity snacks. Maybe you’re in a meeting that has breakfast pastries and vegan bacon as your meal option. Maybe you just don’t feel like cooking anything. So what’s your go-to, perfect protein calorie source? Jerky. The only Paleo perfect protein option that doesn’t require frigeration–leave it out at room temperature for days on end and it’s still amazingly perfect to gnaw on. Want to learn more about the marvels of meat preservation. Read this.

Favoritist meal ever?! HMMMM….I would have to say a muscles dish that was with a bison steak in CO one time. That meal made me fall in love with SO many many many different flavors!
Medium-rare grass fed sirloin steak with a side of mashed cauliflower and a salad or asparagus is my favorite meal! Thanks for the opportunity!
My most favorite meal is Kale Salad w/ Lemon Tahini Dressing!! It’s super filling and really tasty!
Sushi!!! I love sushi!!!
home made macaroni and cheese, or as my mom calls it, “would you like some macaroni with that cheese?”
HI! Honestly some of the best stuff I’ve eaten were recipes found on Health- Bent.
The green chili is a go to favorite for my boyfriend and I !
The best thing I have ever eaten ever!??! My Gramma’s Tortierre. My mouth is watering right now, she actually cooks my mum and I our own pies for Christmas!
My most memorable meal was the Osso Bucco at Tge Flytrap restaurant in San Francisco. The most tender and moist veal ever!
the duck fat fries at ‘the grey plume’ in omaha, ne. (fries cooked in duck fat, with a farm fresh egg and aioli sauce.)
Already have the “liked”
I have to agree with Rebecca….Mmmmmm, Sushi…..oh, and ice cream (not together)….but I guess that’s not really a meal
My favorite meal of all time: Something we call “Cabbage Patch Stew.” Ground beef, pork & beens, canned tomatoes, and thinly sliced onions, covered with cheddar cheese dumplings. OMG. I could eat that forever. I need to try to paleo-ize it.
A well cooked steak and sweet potato.
My favorite meal ever is some fresh, wild-caught seafood, mashed cauliflower, grilled veggies, and a great glass of wine. And something chocolate for dessert, of course!
My favorite meal changes monthly, but right now it is the anniversary dinner we had last week in Cabo. Lobster, parrot fish, sea bass, chocolate clams, and grilled veggies (beef steak tomatoes, asparagus, and zucchini). It was insane. We ate Paleo kits while flying and they were great! Would love to try their other products since our local retailer only sells the kits.
Favorite meal – my mother’s meat stuffed cabbage rolls that were made in the slow cooker. YUM.
Beef tenderloin with asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes from Ruth’s Chris!
Liked! Favorite meal ever? Langostinos served in a very very old restaurant in Spain. Delish!!
Elk steak, taken by my wonderful cave husband while living in Montana – something about those well grazed, fresh from the Rockies Elk, that just can’t be beat! Paired with grilled zucchini and a huge leafy salad, you’ve got a meal fit for a king!
Mama’s Fish House in Maui, HA.
Started with: Poke served with fried taro chips and microgreens
Followed by: Mamaรขโฌโขs Lobster Stuffed Mahimahi Stuffed with lobster & crab, baked in a macadamia nut crust.
Yeah, that place was no joke. Daily catch fresh fish was authentic, delicious and Paleo!
PS: Can’t wait to try the PaleoKits! What an awesome idea!
Probably the pasta dish I had the night of my wedding. My wife and I microwaved the leftovers from the wedding when we got to our hotel room. It was so good.
But really I don’t miss pasta at all. I think it was the moment more than anything.
My favorite meal is hands down the puerto rican dish we have during the holidays. Red rice with chick peas, roasted pork shoulder, and pasteles which are made from ground plantains and beef, pork, or chicken. Yum!!!
I already like you both, score! As for my favorite meal ever…my grandma’s fried chicken with mashed potatoes and country gravy with green beans cooked with bacon on the side. YUM.
The best meal I’ve ever eaten was the very first Thanksgiving dinner I’d ever prepared for my family. My husband was enlisted in the U. S. Army and it was the first Thanksgiving that we were able to celebrate together. My daughter was two years old, and I was pregnant with my son. I was young and felt so accomplished, having prepared a huge meal for my family. The food was delicious and everything felt perfect.
Liked both! My face meal is anything home cooked by my mom. Only see her a few times a year, but nothing more special than family around a table sharing a home cooked meal.
A perfectly done filet with a salty crust and fresh tomatoes with green onions. Making my mouth water just thinking about it! ๐
Best meal I ever had was a bison burger somewhere on the border of North/South Dakota. Can’t remember exactly as we did a lot of traveling in a short period of time. The population sign for the town said 70. We asked where the local diner was and we were shown to this real hole in the wall bar. We walked in and the lights were off at first but a very friendly older lady came rushing in and greeted us. I was with a large group of hungry people and there was no where else within at least 50 miles to get a decent meal. So, I ordered a double bacon bison cheeseburger with fries and an iced tea.
I was working with a film crew at the time and one of the camera guys was just shooting video of the place as it was real odd in general. Animal heads on the wall, antique decorations, just really oddball mid western stuff. He stumbled upon the kitchen area and immediately came running to the rest of us to say that they were grinding the meat for the burgers fresh from these huge steaks.
When the meals came out, this little 8 year old boy came out of the kitchen from behind the bar, holding 2 plates of food calling my name and someone else’s name to serve us our food, it was cute. The burger was banging! Never had a better burger. Ever! Best of all it cost me less than $4. Great food, great service in a tiny mid-western town in the middle of absolutely no where. We left a nice tip for the little boy ๐
~already like both~
This will sound strange, but I love, love, love plain old grass fed burgers, pan fried so I get all the fat, with just some Celtic sea salt.
Wow…it’s hard to pick my favorite meal ever; there are so many! I think I’m going to have to go with a New Mexican meal with an enchilada and chile rellenos. Definitely not Paleo!
My mom always makes cabbage rolls stuffed with some ground meat+nice spices. she cooks it on low and slow in her secret tomato sauce. OMG!!! her perfect creation is to die for because it is fork tender, so yummy and filling ๐
Sweet potato pancakes! I love pancakes
My grandma’s pork fried rice for sure! Bacon? Ham? Eggs? Yes, please! Om nom nom!!
Before Paleo I wouldve said anything pasta. How ever I really love chili like grilled chicken with asparagus!!
I have lots of favorite dishes so it is hard to pick but my favorite “meal” has to be a crispy duck thigh with mango or peach chutney and side of mashed sweet potatoes.
Chili lime grilled chicken. ๐
I like both pages already ๐
Considering I’m a fat kid at heart…I like all meals :). My Aunt Vencie’s stuffed shells with meat sauce. Wow!
My most favorite meal is from Nom Nom Paleo- Stir-Fried Kale and Bacon (of course my favorite meal includes BACON). Best breakfast ever!
My favorite meal ever is prime rib with a baked potato and sour cream. The baked potato and sour cream are not exactly paleo, but I can’t have one without the other!
*LIKED* — Pineapple, Hot sausage and basil fried rice ๐
We had an awesome fish dinner for Thanksgiving (we were on our honeymoon in Hawaii). It was local, fresh, and perfectly cooked, with a side of veggies! And that was before I even knew what paleo was.
Actually I have to say that one of my all time favorite recipes is the health bent paleo orange chicken. Finding that recipe made my transition to paleo SO MUCH EASIER. I also love that recipe because all my standard american diet family (read: my inlaws) LOVES it too which means I can cook it over rice for them and over cauli-rice for me and feed the family in one foul (pun intended) swoop.
Health-Bent was already liked, but I just liked Steve’s Original ๐ My favorite meal of all time would have to be Jaeger Schnitzel from a local German restaurant: a breaded veal cutlet topped with fresh wild mushrooms and red wine Bordelaise sauce. On the side is red cabbage, sauerkraut, German potato salad, spaetzle, and fresh baked seeded rye and basil breads with herbed cheese spread. It’s definitely the most delicious thing I have ever let pass my lips! It’d be what I’d order as my last meal if I was on death row. Definitely not even close to Paleo, but I’d be content to eat it everyday for the rest of my life =]
My favoiter meal is anything with grass fed beef, the taste is outstanding and its good for your health what more can you ask for in a meal.
Favorite meal ever – I made some really awesome short ribs for christmas one year. I still dream about them. And any meal that ended with banana cream pie was probably one of my favorites.
Favoritest meal ever? Bacon wrapped filet, garlic mashed cauliflower and fried pickles.
Don’t judge me.
Anything my husband makes, so I don’t have to cook, is my favorite! Steak or burgers, usually. Thanks for the coupon code!
foie gras breakfast sandwich!
My favorite meals were pretty much anything my Mammaw and Pop made. Pork roasts cooked all day, green beans from the garden, beef stew to die for. And Saturday breakfasts that would blow your mind. *sigh*.
My favorite meal (from what I remember!) was my wedding meal in Los Cabos. Starter-Shrimp Cocktail (best one I have ever eaten!!) dinner- Lobster and Filet Mignon. Best day of my life, best meal of my life but unfortunately I had several glasses of wine and forgot to finish my meal!
My favorite meal was in Nice. Ratatouille, lemon chicken, and creme brulee. Topped off with a glass of wine. Yummmmm.
I have a tie. I just can’t choose.
1. turkey taco lettuce cups (ground turkey + homemade taco seasoning served with homemade salsa and guac) who needs taco shells?!
2. puerto rican pulled pork (made in the slow cooker with tons of garlic, vinegar, shallots, and latin spices) served with fried plantains and something green.
thanks for doing this giveaway, by the way. I’ve always wanted to try the paleokits, but they are just so expensive. ๐
My favoritest meal has got to be a country style plate of bacon and eggs! I
Liked! Bacon and bleu cheese burger…totally not Paleo, but I can easily do a Paleo version if I have the craving ๐
LOVE your site! I get so many amazing recipes here…made the Ropa Vieja last week and was in heaven! Husband gave it a thumbs up, so that’s a WIN in my books!
Favorite meal? Thats a tough one! I’d have to say a wild mushroom risotto I made once for a nice dinner!
I’m not even kidding… or sucking up. I LOVE your Cowboy Breakfast Skillet. Give me breakfast sausage, sweet potatoes, eggs, and avocado and I’m sold. We eat this (and leftovers) at least once a week. It’s our staple. THANK YOU.
My favorite meal is a late night breakfast. I eat pretty dang clean, but haven’t stopped loving a pancake or waffle now and then!
My most favorite meal ever was when I visited New Orleans last summer. Delicious shrimp etouffe and my very first fried green tomatoes with crawfish on top!
Favorite meal ever: Perfectly grilled plank salmon and sweet potatoes.
Favorite Meal? Definitely my mom enchiladas. I’ve been trying to make them, and I can make the salsa, but looking for non-corn and non-wheat tortilla alternatives is always a chore.
Love the website!
For my favorite meal (let’s keep it paleo friendly) it would have to be a toss-up between a burger with cheese and avocado with a side of sweet potato fries or typical portuguese chicken with a side of salad and oven baked potatoes.
Favorite meal? Grilled steak, salad greens with olive oil and balsamic dressing, and sliced avocado. Yum!
My favorite meal is Maryland Blue Crab on a newspaper covered picnic table on the Chesapeake! Tastes like heaven and home at the same time. Living in Colorado now, I miss this.
It would have to be christmas dinner in France a few years ago. Oysters, foie gras, and lots and lots of cheese. mmmmm cheese
My favourite meal was an epic bbq with my soon to be fiance just outside of Whitehorse in the Yukon.
We wrapped halibut in bacon and had a gorgeous steak. A little bit of salad too….
Check out the Sun Dog if you’re even up north!
Already like both!! And my favorite meal of ALL time is sushi, (salmon avocado rolls), unless I am getting sashimi, with coconut aminos of course ๐
Best food ever? Cheesecake Factory’s Adam’s Peanut Butter Cup Fudge Ripple cheesecake. To. Die. For.
Maybe someone can make a paleo version of this??? I would love you forever!
KRISPY KREME DOUGHNUT BACON CHEESE BURGER is my favorite!
Just finished liking the both of ya’s….
Any kind of crockpot meat would be my favorite meal. I loved shredded meat!!
Thanks so much for all you two contribute to the Paleo/Crossfit world. I made your Pizza Stuffed Sweet Potatoes last night and of course it was awesome. I always keep your site up at work checking out all you recipes!
Thanks guys!
My favorite meal ever would probably be a grilled ribeye steak and a sweet potato with fresh berries for dessert.
Love your website! Favorite non paleolithic food pizza. Favorote paleolithic food steak and sweet potatoes.
I love having a paleo friendly “pasta” dinner. I like to make a tomato based meat sauce with grass-fed, local, ground beef, mushrooms, onions, and red bell peppers & eat it over steamed cauliflower.
Steak and potatoes! Preferably with lots and lots of bacon and bleu cheese on top. And ice cream.
A meal of all appetizers!!!
Liked! Probably my mom’s chicken schwarma recipe…then the leftovers on a salad the next day!
I like them on Facebook. My favorite meal is sushi!!
My most favorite meal is at a local pizza place. It’s a cornmeal deep dish pizza with 4 kinds of mushrooms, kalamata olives and lots of amazing cheese and tomato sauce…complete with a salty caramel malt for dessert…just finished a whole30 so my taste buds might be a little overly stimulated now ๐
most favorite meal ever, at a restaurant here in Charleston SC. Husk. mmmm YUM!
crispy fried pork ears, oatmeal crust pie, grass fed beef. grits. homemade rolls. yum yum yum.
I love all the paleo recipes, I have never had such tasty food until I started cooking paleo style. I am excited to try all the dishes on your web site. The fried egg chorizo burgers were to die for. The caramelized onions sent it over the top. I dreamed about eating them again!
Already liked both. Favorite meal is too tough. How about favorite breakfast? Some restaurant on the backside of San Francisco’s Ferry Building where we ate a bowl of grits with fresh summer corn, okra, bacon crumbles, and an egg sunny side up along side a french press with Blue Bottle Coffee. It’s been over 2 years and I can still taste it. (Insert brushing teeth joke here)
My favorite meal was probably the family Lobster Fests we used to have growing up on Long Island. My grandparents would come over with lobsters, steamers and mussels and we’d have a huge feast of seafood. Mussels marinara (with lots of pasta), steamers dunked in butter and steamed lobsters. Can still eat most of that these days, and with the price of lobster where it is, I think I’m going to have to indulge like old times.
rice meat balls stewed in tomato sauce.
My first steak! I was 31 years old.
Like and like!!
My favorite-est meal would be sliders and the most delicious french fries ever, all washed down with a cold beer at my favorite brew pub.
My favorite meal (that actually makes me feel ok afterwards) would be paleo spaghetti with spaghetti squash noodles and grilled veggies!
liked both long ago! My favorite meal has had to be Indian take out that consisted of palak Paneer and chicken tikka masala with some delicious samosas to top it off! I know it’s bad but it soo good! ๐
Hi holy yum. My favorite meal EVER is something that’s sweet and salty. i.e. –> A salad with dried cranberries + raisins, pecans, and goat cheese. Not paleo, but I like to splurge sometimes.
p.s. Liked both!
I can’t think of my favourite meal of all time, but my favourite meal lately has been baked salmon fillets, wrapped in tinfoil with garlic butter, and a side of something yummy like asparagus, or your double bacon caesar salad! So good, and the fish always makes me feel so much better!
Nice and hot Phanaeng curry! Soft succulent chicken in a spicy coconut milk sauce… yum!!
Hmmmm…..a delightful Thai green curry at a little restaurant on Kauai, or real beef stroganoff, made with filet. No stinking noodles (even before paleo) because true Russian stroganoff is NOT served on noodles. Maybe some kasha on the side.
My favorite meal would have to be all the foods (appetizer selections) that my mom prepared for my wedding: Roquefort grapes, empanadas, crabmeat cheesecake, oyster shooters, and a whole bunch more — followed by chocolate fondue and an amazing sachretorte. Good memories!
love your website. my favorite meal ever is sunny-side up eggs cooked in coconut oil, yolks super runny, over fresh blueberries (i’ve been known to do frozen as well), and a side of bacon. i love the sweet and salty, and when i gave up toast and jam, this was the answer!
Favorite is impossible, but favorite of the moment – Sriracha Tamari burgers, great looking and amazing tasting!
My favorite food is pasta. I can’t specify a certain dish because I am such a moody eater.
Oh I love so many foods it’s hard to pick one. BUT if we’re being totally honest, I would say ice cream. I.love.cream. SOOO much. ๐
Already like you both! My most fav meal so rich was Truffle Rissoto so not paleo but damn good!
Brussels and Bacon, crisp baked chicken thighs.:) so yummy!
Okay, “favorite” is tough – I have too many ingredients I absolutely love, so narrowing it all down to one specific meal is almost an impossibility! So, I’m using simplicity as my basis of preference, bringing me to my Favorite Take-Along Meal: I start with an apple, slice it in half, and scoop out the core from both halves. I take as much peanut butter as I can fit into the center hole I’ve just formed, and load it up, along with some steel cut oats. I plunk it in a bag or small container, or just wrap a rubber band around it if I know I won’t need to carry it around too much. It’s got enough nutrition to be a great meal, and is portable and delicious to boot!
I like both pages wonderful stuff. Best/Favorite meal, La Fondas Tamales in red and green chili or a bacon cheese burger from the Bobcat Bite both in Santa Fe NM so good!!! Highly Recommended if you are in the area. Make sure to get sopapillas for your Post Meal experience with plenty of honey.
My favorite meal would be the special pizza, chased with a beer, from Red Savoy’s in St. Paul, Minnesota. The toppings are about 3″ thick!
Favorite meal: Stovetop carnitas from Melissa “Melicious” Joulwan
They are absolutely incredible. Some simple baked yellow sweet potatoes on the side or sometimes bacon and pecan brussel’s sprouts.
My favorite meal every eaten was from a locally grown meat and produce restaurant, called the Hobbit. Complete with goat cheese cheese cake for dessert. It was to die for.
blue cheese crusted steak. with shrimp & garlic mashed potatoes. nomnomnomnom
Liked!
My favorite meal of all time is a Croatian dish that my grandmother cooked me when I was little. It’s called “cevape” and it’s a type of handmade bread served with grilled ground meat. It’s delicious!!!
New favorite meal: Health-Bent Orange Chicken!
I have eaten so many things that would fall into my favorite…it’s hard to pick one. I guess I’ll just go with which of those I’d like to be eating right now. That would be some really awesome Queso. NOT Paleo at all. But, probably my most favorite pancake recipe ever is your Sweet Potato Pancake!! Those are awesome!
Both liked. Favorite meal: panang curry!
I’ve had some amazing meals at restaurants that I’ve absolutely loved. Many I still talk about and restaurants I want to go back to.
But the meal I most love is my grandmother’s plum dumplings. She doesn’t make them anymore, my dad tends to do it instead. And I really need to learn how to make them myself so I can follow this family tradition as it usually only happens about once a year in the fall. ๐
Old favorite: REAL san fran sour dough, sharp cheddar cheese and grapes
New fav: Paleo Butternut Squash Lasagna
Grassfed, bacon-wrapped filet cooked medium rare, served with roasted brussel sprouts. Mmm.
Hey!
My absolute favorite meal ever? Wow how to pick just one!! I love food. ๐ I’ll always but always order chicken mole from the menu at a restaurant. But I also love a medium-rare steak with a baked potato (loaded with real butter and sour cream and chives of course) plus a huge spinach salad. ๐
But I adore lobster, crab & shrimp. Plus I’ll always eat tacos and my mom’s mashed potatoes. See??? I can’t pick just one meal! I love to eat. ๐
My favorite food is a paleo version of taco soup! I make it at least once per week! I liked both on Facebook. You guys are amazing!
My favorite meal is a bunless blue cheese burger. MMMMMM good.
“HANDS-DOWN” the BEST-MEAL-EVER………. Bacon Maple Brownies !!
Chicken enchiladas at an authentic local mexican restaurant! Authentic = they don’t speak English there!
My new favorite meal is Spaghetti Squash Casserole!
There are so many great meals that I’ve eaten, but the best ones always have some sort of memory attached to them, which is what makes them so great. Unfortunately, some of those dishes were never captured on paper before we lost the chef. I really miss Babcia’s Golabki and Pierogies!!!!
Whenever i have a home cooked birthday dinner or some kind of family get together where i get to pick the meal, i always, ALWAYS, pick hamburgers on the grill and a blue cheese pasta salad. I. mean. yum.
My favorite meal is Chicken Parm with pasta and sauce. The real kind, breaded and pan fried, then baked with cheese on top, and more pasta than I should be eating. Chocolate Chip cookie for dessert would be nice too ๐ But I haven’t had that in a long time…so I guess I need to come up with a paleo version of that!
The one thing that I am really missing since starting my Paleo diet is bread! So, really I love any meal that I can eat with soft, homemade delicious bread, especially pasta. Can you tell I love carbs?
yessss! i just saw they came out with their new paleo krunch bar today & im gonna use that code to buy some! yum!
my favorite meal EVER: left-over cold roasted brussel sprouts that were roasted in the oven with bacon and sweet potatoes till crispy, topped with chopped steak, over-easy eggs, and hot sauce. holy yum!
hands down my buffalo chicken mac n cheese. not very paleo… but oh so delicious!!!!
Liked you both on facebook, and I read your blog all the time!!
Best meal ever? Hmm…I’m a southern girl so probably Chicken Fried Steak with smashed potatoes and fried okra…or my mom’s chimchangas….however I’ve been doing Paleo/Primal for a while and now my favorite is curry lamb shepherd’s pie (with cauliflower mash on top of course)!!!
Liked both! Favorite meal – Shrimp scampi.
garlicky mojo pork, cole slaw, german potato salad… my 4th of July cookout. And no the german potato salad wasn’t paleo… but it was worth it!
My favorite meal ever eaten would have to be my grandma’s tacos that she made every Friday night. We would have a whole little salad bar set up to what we wanted on our tacos. Not at all paleo, but the memories associated with that night and that meal is what really matters. ๐
PIZZA! Love all kinds all types, but the best of the bestest!!! Anchorage Alaska’s Moose’s Tooth Brewery and Pub. YUMM-O
My Mom’s chicken fried steak growing up. If I were cooking I would say lasagna and homemade garlic bread. YUMMY. I liked both Health Bent and Steve’s originals on FB. thanks for the giveaway.
My favorite meal ever would have to be my mom’s homemade lemon chicken – so delicious!!
Best meal I ever had was just a few weeks ago at a tiny French restaurant in podunk VA. A salad with walnuts, apples and warm goat cheese, chicken veronique with whipped butternut squash and potatoes, with creme brulee for dessert. Absolutely to die for!
My favorite meal is anything Mexican inspired!
Like both on Facebook! My favorite meal has got to be Tacos! I love a good paleo “taco” salad! ๐
My all time fav meal recently was a huge bowl of ratatouille, balsamic reduction with a perfectly cooked flank steak atop from Gilson’s Restaurant in Wilmette IL. My mouth is watering.
My favorite meal is my mother’s sauerbraten with red cabbage. Now, I’ll have to dig out the recipe!
Favorite meal ever…that’s tough! I would have to say though that my new Paleo fave is pork chop, sweet potato, and apple skillet. Mmmm with coconut oil!
Um, best food though: chocolate lava cake on the Carnival cruise line ;> Love this giveaway!
My all-time favorite meal is King crab legs with butter dipping sauce. As for my favorite Paleo foods, they would have to be red curry pork & your Paleo banana ice cream. They are both wonderful & I make the ice cream at least once a week! รขหยบ
All breakfast food!
I had the most amazing meal at Roberts of Charleston …I had always heard that food could be an “experience” and I always just shrugged those comments off believing food was food…. Eating there (specifically the duck dish) was the first time that I ever truly appreciated food. That meal completely changed my perspective on what I was eating and from there on out it really made me think about what I was putting in my body. Sadly, it is no longer there, the chef retired. However, thankfully his daughter took over the space and I was able to get a similar experience with the alcoholic beverages they serve. Must run in the family!!!
A big bowl of brandywine tomato straight from the garden, yum.
Too many to list but I think my top homemade favorite is my mom’s roast beef with Yorkshire pudding. And then there is the buffalo filet with espresso rub & mole sauce : )
Liked and liked. Most favorite meal – beef stroganoff (my mom’s recipe) – I have it for my birthday every year, though now over cauliflower rice! Thanks for the giveaway!
Honestly………… I LOVE peanut butter. Crunchy peanut butter on a nice whole wheat bagel is amazing to me.
I also love oatmeal mixed with blueberries and almonds.
And my homemade pancakes. Oatflour with 1 egg white, almonds, blueberries, baking powder and sugar free syrup. With a side of 1% cottage cheese.
A ciabetta loaf fresh from the ilalian store stuffed with italian roast beef and tomatoes is a favorite too.
Paleo or not, my all time favorite is homeade chili! I can’t get enough in the Fall and Winter!
Salmon Oscar with steamed brocolli at Granite City!! I love this dish and order it every time I’m at GC!
My favorite meal is my grandmother’s chicken and dumplings! Not Paleo at all!
So hard to choose, but I think i’d have to say the sushi at our local sushi restaurant. I’ve eaten sushi everywhere I travel, but the place 1/2 mile down the street from my house is the best in the world! I’ve already been a fan of both you guys on FB for a while ๐ Thanks for the giveaway!
Favorite meal: Mom’s homemade Beef Stroganoff – yum! Will have to paleo-ize it one of these days….
Steak Frites (sweet potato)!!!
Both liked….my most favorite meal is broiled salmon with roasted tomatoes, or crab cakes, or Make it Paleo’s carrot cake (that can be considered a meal, right?)
My favorite meal is a hamburger patty filled with bacon and pineapple bbq sauce and guacamole on top.
I’ m native from Belgium so I love steak tartare with fermented french fries !
My favorite meal of all time comes from this amazing BBQ place in the middle-of-no-where Virginia. Two guys with one of those big oil barrel grills in an abandoned parking lot that are only there on weekends.
Love my texmex eggs….scrambled eggs, salsa and avocado! The breakfast/lunch/supper of champions!
It’s definitely not Paleo but my favorite meal was a slice of pizza just after I got off the plane in Rome. It had a super thin crust, tuna and artichokes and was salty and delicious with olive oil. Mmm I can almost taste it ๐
Thanksgiving-esque dinners: sweet potatoes, smoked turkey, cranberry sauce, crockpot Mac and cheese, Granny’s homemade biscuits.
Recently it’s been the Maple Nut Banana Bread Muffins on here….I’m addicted! But of all time, it might just be dark chocolate ice cream…
Although i don’t eat it anymore, i guess papa john’s pizza is one of my favorites. I experiment now with a cauliflower crust pizza..not the same, but good, and satisfies my craving for pizza!
My mom’s spaghetti with homemade sauce!
Favoritest meal WAS Italian Special, a pasta recipe the parents brought back from Italy years ago, with anchovies, greek olives, lots of garlic, hot pepper flakes and olive oil, plus gobs of parmiggiano reggiano. Now it is probably Caesar salad with parmesan crisps instead of croutons, plus salmon or grilled chicken – yum!
My all time favorite meal is a new York strip cooked rare with a big salad and ranch dressing and wash it all down with a big glass of iced tea
My all-time favorite meal is fresh king salmon (yes, caught directly from the coastal waters in Southeast Alaska, Juneau is my hometown), caught, cleaned and placed directly onto the grill. Add a little seafood seasonings, butter, onion and lemon. Grill to perfection. Serve with any fresh green vegetable available and I am one happy camper.
My favorite meal of all time is charcoal grilled Antiguan bar-b-que. It is usually local fish and beef with local Antiguan sauce. I liked it with potatoes au gratin and a big, fresh salad. YUM!
I’ve recently started eating the Paleo way and I am loving it! A carnivore by nature, I’m happy that I can have a great steak anytime (yes, I’m from Texas!)! YUM.
Steak! Medium-rare, please!
My all time favorite meal is a 26 oz. bone-in ribeye from New York Prime with potatoes au gratin. Mouth Watering…
PS – Ron Swanson = Boss
Picking a favorite meal is nearly impossible but if I had to choose I’d probably go with green chile that my mom makes AND a beef stew my grandma used to make. What’s better is both could easily be made paleo ๐
making a variation of your BS Lasagna as I type this… it’s up there as an all-time favorite!
It’s actually paleo. But dang, it’s so good. Paleo Pad Thai from Well Fed. YUM!
One of the restaurants around here has a roast duck on the chef’s special menu. If it’s on the menu I will be ordering it without hesitation!
My favorite summer meal used to be a crusty baguette with cheese, meat and fruit and a couple glasses of wine. Now, it’s sausage, raw kraut and brussel sprouts!
A yummy hamburger with onions, tomatoes, zuchinni relish, mayo and mustard. Yum!
For our 5th anniversary, my husband took me to a demonstration kitchen 6 course dinner. Lobster soup, sushi, mushroom tart, followed with perfectly cooked petite filet and chocolate mousse for dessert. That was delicious and celebrated our anniversary. Don’t eat like that every day!
My favorite meal? For the food itself I’d have to say dinner out of Filet Mignon, asparagus, baked sweet potato, a fabulous glass of Pinot Noir (or two!), and fresh berries with cream for dessert. However, my most favorite meals are the ones that I eat in the company of my family and friends… the more, the merrier!
Back in the 70’s in Austin Texas was the Armadillo World Quarters. Their kitchen served a quacomole on home made wheat bread. I was to die for
My favorite meal is a homemade tuna melt and a bowl of tomato soup…. it’s such a feel good meal. Reminds me of being a kid on a cold winter’s day. Love it!
My most favorite meal ever eaten??? It has to be fried rice… any kind really. #imissrice
Not gonna lie, the first thing I thought of was macaroni ‘n cheese. Specifically, Kraft mac n cheese. I love all kinds of macaroni ‘n cheese but not being able to eat the boxed stuff just makes me sad. (Have a gluten allergy, just wasn’t the same after the diagnosis.)
My mother’s beef stew, with TONS of A-1 sauce. No shame. It’s still my favorite. That plus roasted sweet potatoes and I would eat it every.single.freakin.day. Amen.
My Dad’s baked ziti! Man, I miss cheesy Italian meals somedays!
Freshly-hunted doe medallions and lingonberry sauce from this amazing little restaurant in the Black Forest.
Love the Bulgogi burger with kimchi fries at Social Eatz in New York!
Grass fed lamb stew with pumpkin and avocado on top
Nothing beats Nana’s homemade lasagna!! And sadly, the Paleo version with zucchini in place of noodles just isn’t the same!
My grandmother’s Dutch Baby Pancakes covered in boysenberry syrup!!
My favorite meal of all time has to be cheese enchiladas with charro beans and spanish rice… Mmmmm…
Just one favorite meal?? Considering my love of food that is almost impossible but I would have to go with sushi. Nothing beats a slice of sashimi tuna and the tons of different combinations of rolls. Love it!
I love microwaving eggs and adding mushrooms, spinach, pico and hot sauce with some bacon on the side. I make all 5 on Sunday for the work week.
Tamales and refried beans
My favorite meal ever?? Oh that’s a really hard one! Hmmm…. well I’d have to say that I really enjoyed eating at a place called Angela’s in Richmond, VA for my grandfather’s birthday. I had what I have to say is the best beef filet I have ever had- so juicy and easy to chew, seasoned almost perfectly. But what outshined it was my mom’s order, blackened salmon. She ordered the sauce on the side, but even without the buttery lemon sauce the salmon itself was perfectly blackened and I couldn’t criticize the flavor at all. So delicious.
Coconut curry chicken atop creamy mashed cauliflower!
Liked both. My favorite meal ever was dessert. It was a flourless chocolate souffle served very warm with a scoop vanilla ice cream on top, heaven!
Lately, my favorite me has been Paleo Banana Bread French toast(as done by PaleoOMG)… Seriously, it has almost been enough to make me forget pizza and calezones. The glory of french toast, only better, AND healthier! Two slices max!
This is hard… I could eat anything that my Mom makes over and over again and never get tired of it. But right now at this moment, I’m waiting to go out to a Thai place for dinner, so my choice will be just slightly biased. My answer is Pad Thai!
The combo of flavors makes my taste buds dance every time I have it. (It’s one of my “cheat”/non-Paleo meals that I never feel guilty about)
I was 13 years old and on the Boardwalk in Atlantic City. Steak, Lobster and escargot. I will never forget how wonderful that meal was!
I liked both of you on facebook and I love Cauliflower cheese pizza. ๐
This is a very difficult question to answer but I am definitely a breakfast guy. My favorite breakfast would have to be a gigantic omelet! A 5 egg omelet cooked in butter filled with sautรยฉed spinach, onions, a lot of bacon and aged cheddar cheese and then topped with sliced avocado will make me happy for the entire day!
Favorite dinner (and paleo too!): Roasted sweet potato topped with ground beef sauteed with onions, cumin, oregano, and chili powder. Top THAT with steamed spinach, salsa and homemade guacamole.
God I could smear guacamole on my face and lap it up all day.
Mom’s lasagna. It’s not just Mom’s lasagna with canned tomato sauce, strewn together and baked for any ‘ol occasion. No, it’s Mom’s lasagna, made with Grandma Jane’s classic tomato sauce recipe, prepared with her baby girl, using the tried and true ingredients for a super special occasion: my birthday.
It inspired me to transform it into a “paleoish” dish. I subbed thin slices of sweet potatoes with the same family classic sauce and our family favorite cheeses. But if I were to ever cave and have my ultimate cheat meal, it would be that. Even though she doesn’t make it any more since we got my parents to adopt a “almost” paleo lifestyle ๐
Favorite meal: Turkey BLT sandwich. Yum!
Any meal that goes with my mom’s homemade cornbread. I can be paleo all week long, but come Sunday for as long as I have a mama, I’m eating cornbread.
Sweet Potato Pancakes is definitely my favorite! I am a breakfast lover!
I already like both on fb. My favorite meal: Deep dish spinach pizza from Giordanos. It is lucky we do not live in Chicago anymore where we grew up, otherwise we would still be eating this.
Homemade cinnamon buns with cream cheese frosting! Yummy!!!
I already “liked ” both. Nobody makes biscuits like my grandmother made…and it’s a good thing because I wouldn’t be able to eat them now ๐ With butter and honey or blackberry jam…yum.
